CQ World Scout Contest

De CQWS is een contest voor en door scouts en word gehouden een half jaar voor / na de JOTA-JOTI

CQ World Scouts is een jaarlijkse activiteit georganiseerd door União dos Escoteiros do Brasil – UEB (Scouting Brazilië) en erkend door de WOSM (World Organisation for Scouting Movements). De Brazilianen hebben als belangrijkste doel het promoten van de radiohobby en het uitwisselen van informatie en kennis tussen zendamateurs en scouts. Het weekend ligt ongeveer tussen 2 JOTA-JOTI’s in, waardoor de zendamateurs meer betrokken blijven bij de scoutinggroep en vise-versa.

Uit naam van Braziliaanse scouts nodigen wij jullie graag uit om deel te nemen aan de CQ World Scouts contest. Wij hopen dat er vele scouts en zendamateurs elkaar treffen in deze contest ! Ruim 10 jaar geleden kreeg de Braziliaanse organisatie de toestemming van The World Organisation of the Scout Movement om dit als scouting activiteit te promoten. Daardoor is het echte een wedstrijd voor en door scouts geworden! Ook al heb je misschien niet de gehele 24 uur tijd of zin doe gezellig mee!

JOTA-JOTI

Één van de bekenste radioamateur activiteiten voor scouts is de Jamboree On The Air, en Jamboree On The Internet.

Thinking day on the air

Thinking Day on the Air wordt georganiseerd door The Guide Association in het derde volle weekend van februari. De stichter van de Gidsenbeweging, Lord Baden-Powell, en zijn vrouw, Lady Baden-Powell, de Wereldhoofdgids, vierden beiden hun verjaardag op 22 februari, die nu bij alle Gidsen bekend staat als Thinking Day.

CQ World Scout Contest

The CQWS is a contest for and by scouts and is held half a year before / after the JOTA-JOTI CQ World Scouts is an annual activity organized by União dos Escoteiros do Brasil – UEB (Scouting Brazil) and recognized by the WOSM (World Organization for Scouting Movements). The main goal of the Brazilians is to promote the radio hobby and to exchange information and knowledge between radio amateurs and scouts. The weekend is approximately between 2 JOTA-JOTI’s, so that the radio amateurs stay more involved in the scouting group and vise-versa. 

On behalf of Brazilian scouts, we would like to invite you to participate in the CQ World Scouts contest. We hope that many scouts and radio amateurs will meet each other in this contest ! More than 10 years ago, the Brazilian organization received permission from The World Organization of the Scout Movement to promote this as a scouting activity. As a result, it has really become a competition for and by scouts! Even though you may not have the entire 24 hours or inclination, join in!

Thinking day on the air

Thinking Day on the Air is organised by The Guide Association on the third full weekend in February. The founder of the Guide movement, Lord Baden-Powell, and his wife, Lady Baden-Powell, the World Chief Guide both celebrated their birthday on 22 February, which is now known to all Guides as Thinking Day.
